The
Brevent ski station is the closest to the centre of Chamonix.
The hill from Cham centre to the bottom station is deceptively steep
to walk up, especially in ski boots. The easiest way up is to catch
the free bus. Parking for 250 cars.
Le Brevent is for
all abilities. Although, with only one green run it is limited for
beginners. A renowned black run down from Le Brevent to Planpraz "Charles
Bozon" is great for good skiers with an impressive wall along
one side.
Towards the end of February, Le Brevent hosts the Red Bull Extreme
Skiing competition on it's steep faces. High cliff jumps add to the
excitement that attracts some of the world's best "extreme"
skiers.
